Information We recommend visiting this museum, the former residence of the chaplains of the Knights of Malta (entrance fee 1 LM (June 2006), ca. 2.40 EUR) when you are in Rabat as it features an impressive collection of paintings, coins and much more. The catacombs - later used as World War II shelters with still some real bones - are very impressive as well. We recommend to have a flashlight ready. Opening Times 10:00 - 15:00 except sundays. What to see Fine baroque palace at three levels, 17th-18th century, extensive phoenician, roman and christian catacombs, war shelters (50 rooms), unique galley´s altar, large garden, bishop´s vintage car, modern art, picture gallery (16th-20th century), baroque chapel, antique furniture, embroidered vestments, maps and coins. |
